TutoK convenes artists anew in its fifth year-end exhibit at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Up for discussion is the question of heroism and nationhood. What are heroes, anyway, and how is heroism relevant in the cultural fabric of how we perceive and create our paradigms? This year’s theme will attempt to question the notion of heroism through paintings, sculptures, installations, multimedia and performance ar…t. But more than the multitude of artists and art practices to be gathered, the event will be an ample assembly of views on the subject, ranging from the ironic to terse insights into the iconic.

Over 150 artists comprised of students and professionals will present wall-bound works of paintings and mixed media, resonating the varied recollections and reflections on heroes.
