Here, they continue to entertain doubts and ask more questions on the reality of what we’ve grown accustomed to, on the personal veracity of deeply ingrained truths. Wanting to know if we’re really in good hands here. Asking how much tighter one needs to clasp one’s hands in prayer. Measuring the breadth of how one needs to raise one’s hands to the sky. Counting how much longer one needs to touch the palm of strangers while asking the sky to lead us not to temptation.

These are works illustrating questions of whether humanity’s sins could still be safe in the ears of those behind the pulpit, or whether resting our spines on the pew is enough. These are images asking how far one could live with faith that is detached from one’s better nature.
